ORS Nasco, Inc. is one of the largest wholesale distributors of industrial supplies in North America. The Company offers a comprehensive product portfolio of premium branded and private label products from hundreds of manufacturers for use in the industrial, welding, oilfield, safety, electrical, construction, HVAC, MRO, plumbing, janitorial and rental markets. The Company serves a highly diverse customer base of independent distributors through a network of strategically placed distribution centers that provide overnight delivery access to nearly all of the United States.

Background to the Transaction

ORS Nasco, whose predecessor companies were founded in 1968 and 1959, was a subsidiary of a publicly-traded Irish holding company that sought to divest the business. Brazos was introduced to ORS Nasco through a longstanding firm relationship involved in the sale process. In addition, Brazos had a relationship with an outside director of ORS. Seeing an opportunity to transform and accelerate the growth of this division of a large parent company, Brazos developed a strong relationship with management and was successful in closing the transaction in December 2005.
